Introduction
Society for Empowerment Nepal (STEP-Nepal) is established in 2057/02/24 with the aimed of empowering disadvantaged people in society through dialogue, agreement and joint ventures with relevant line agencies. STEP-Nepal is an autonomous, non political and non-profit making Non-Government organization. As per rules and regulation of Government of Nepal, it is registered with the district Administration Office, Lalitpur district (Regd. #1176) and affiliated with the Social Welfare Council (Aff. #11093/2000).
The main goal of this organization is to assist in creating a just an equitable society. STEP-Nepal is also associated with the NGO Federation/NGO Coordination Committee, Safe Motherhood Network, active member of Reproductive Health Coordination Committee of Lalitpur district and National NGOs Network Group Against AIDS - Nepal (NANGAN).
